Boot Camp for New Dads® (aka Daddy Boot Camp®) is a unique father-to-father, community-based in-person workshop that inspires and equips men of different economic levels, ages and cultures to become confidently engaged with their infants, support their mates and personally navigate their transformation into dads.

Boot Camp is validated by research and has been named a best practice by many organizations that consider it an exceptional means of supporting dads-to-be and fostering behaviors that greatly benefit children and help prevent a wide range of social ills. Founded in 1990, the non-profit Boot Camp for New Dads has graduated more than 500,000 men, making it by far the nation’s largest program for new fathers, and is now offered in 44 states, on U.S. military bases, Canada and the U.K.

Soon-to-be dads typically attend the workshop 1-2 months before their first baby arrives. Veteran dads (who had previously attended Boot Camp) bring their 2- to 9-month-old babies.

Boot Camp is a unique workshop where moms-to-be get advice, insight and tips from real new moms and their babies.

During Boot Camp for New Moms®, new mamas (and their babies) share real-world insights, advice, and experiences about navigating the first months of parenthood. You'll hear how different women and families handle the challenges that almost all new parents face:

  • Understand what new dads are going through and how to support him

  • Become a parenting team with your partner

  • Get ahead of gatekeeping so dad isn't pushed away from you and baby

  • Reinforce your relationship so it survives the stress of a newborn

  • Get support and assistance with reaching your breastfeeding goals (It's not easy!)

  • Plan for going back to work or staying home, and real-world childcare solutions

  • Talk to your partner about common road blocks

  • Create game plans now (instead of at 2am when everyone is crying, stressed, and tired)

After Boot Camp You’ll:

  • Feel more confident

  • Have your question answered

  • Be armed with strategies to make the transition to motherhood smoother

  • Know you're not alone

  • Be ready to form parenting team with your partner

  • Understand what dad-to-be is going through and how to support him

  • Have real-world insight and solutions to common challenges

A trained Coach (also a Boot Camp graduate and mom) facilitates the discussion.

We recommend mom-to-be attend around 28 weeks, but any time is a good time! The workshop is FREE with the hopes that in the future you could come back as a Veteran Mommy to share your stories and experiences when your baby is between 3 to 9 months old.
